Small Space & Color

Q. I love color, but have a small house. How can I best use color in my small spaces?
A: Patterns have more visual weight than solids and can make small rooms appear even smaller. Enlarge the perception of the space by placing simply patterned pillows on a plainsofa, and use textured solids to add interest without busyness.

Fear No More
Q: How do I overcome my color commitment phobia?
A: Ask yourself these questions: What is your favorite color? What colors do you dislike? When you think of color, what memories or feelings come to mind? What colors do you find yourself wearing over and over again? -- Kelly Keiser, interior designer
Neutral vs. Color
Q: How do I decide between putting a neutral or a color on my walls?
A: A rule of thumb: Neutral walls make room for rich furniture and vibrant art, while colorful walls rest well behind neutral furnishings or accents of similar or complementary colors. -- Shannon Kaye, interior designer

Sambucol: Natural Help for Cold/Flu

If you haven't experienced a cold or the flu yet this season, consider yourself blessed!
I have caught a cold this past weekend.  I had decided not to take a flu shot this fall
because last fall my arm where I had been given the shot turned red, became hard to
the touch and it also was very warm like it was experiencing a fever!  I had done
quite a bit of research and found Sambucol.
I pulled it out of my medicine cabinet this week when I felt my cold coming on.  As of
right now I have only used four tablets over a period of two days.  And I am thrilled to
say that my cold seems to be 90% gone!  Let me tell you that this makes me want to
do the "Happy Dance" because when I catch a cold I do NOT sleep well at night - I
cough and cough.  There has been none of this problem this time!  Hooray!  I can tell
you I am a believer in this product.  It is natural, it tastes good and is convenient.
I also use my nasal saline spray to keep cleaning my sinuses, several times a day which
I know has also kept me from getting a sinus infection.  I just wanted to pass along
my new friend I will keep in my arsenal to combat colds and flu.  I hope that it can
be of some help to you also.  It is available at most grocery and pharmacy stores.
(I am not affiliated with or work for or have relatives that work for this company, and
no one is paying me to share this post with you.  I tried it, it works and I want you to
know about it.)
